A short film / sketch about hostage rescue negotiations between a police and a knife wielding criminal with an explosive punchline. Project will be fairly simple, shot reverse shot. 1 or 2 private locations. Hoping to finish shooting within 2 or 3 nights total.

In the year 199x, police deploy the latest line of cyber assassins in order to neutralize a man taking an older woman hostage inside a hotel room. (it's a hand grenade duct taped to a Furby tossed through the window). The end.

**** is an action packed fantasy adventure film produced 100% in NorCal (Sacramento & Bay Area) by a dedicated team of local independent filmmakers. This rollercoaster of a flick mixes an eccentric cast of characters into an original story that spans decades. A lighthearted ride that never takes itself overly serious, but also has plenty of dramatic depth, It aims to push the limits of conventional micro/no budget indie film making.

At its core, it is a tale of overcoming the many challenges that mean to hold us back in life, no matter who we are or from where we hail. Nothing worth anything comes easy. And we look to emphasize that in this film by exemplifying positive messages of growth, realization and determination, while also doing our best to truly entertain!

After a hard fought battle over the last 10+ years filled with extensive hurdles, it is now at the end of its long production journey, with photography concluding by mid-March 2025. So, this truly is your last chance to join the fight!

Hop aboard as we drive our final push. We'll be capturing vital pickup shots for key sequences, as well as finishing the last story line of the film. Roles are limited!

We can't wait to finally wrap, enabling us to focus 150% on post and finally get a bunch of media out for folks to see. No matter the wide array of opinions we're sure to experience, in terms of production, story, etc., we're confident everyone will be able to see the hard work and spirit put into this project. No/micro budget doesn't have to equate to a film lacking in impact and scope. We've done our best to show that and are proud of our community's diligent efforts.

This is a non-union project.

We always have your safety in mind, as well as that of all others. It's our goal to always run our sets as professionally as possible. Cooperation means $#!^ gets done. :)

This is overall a non-paid project, heavily invested in the community that has made it happen through volunteer work. We are very up front and transparent about this important information and what it entails so not to mislead or take advantage of people. Your time, energy and craft are very much respected and appreciated. All that said, we absolutely always make sure we do all we can to accommodate our cast and crew.

Everyone on our sets is fed appropriately and get proper breaks, all factored in with regard to the length of the shoot day.

And EVERYONE gets credit for collaborating with us, no matter how "small" their part. Expect your credit to be listed on the project's official website, on the project's IMDb page and in the film's end credits sequence. It's the least we can do to show our appreciation.

At this point, no remaining shoots require more than a single shoot date.

Certain shoots ahead will require traveling outside of some folks' local area.  We always push people to get out of their box.  It's how we grow!  But we also need you to be honest with yourself, and us, about your ability to attend shoots outside of your area.  We simply cannot afford to have shoots ruined because of last minute cancellations and/or no shows.  Communicate with us properly and we'll be able to still consider you for a role.  It will allow us to plan appropriately.

We always do our best to work with our cast and crew to ensure they can make it to our sets and do their part with little to no financial cost to them.  For example, we often work with our cast to create carpooling options when needed.  But unless clearly stated, it is your responsibility to deal with the overall logistics of attending a shoot, whether travel, lodging, etc. So, please take all aspects of being a part of this project into consideration.

We fully welcome your submission if you are not local to the Sacramento or Bay Areas. Just be aware of the details & please be honest about where you're coming from. It matters.

Our upcoming feature film follows aspiring boxer Fleet Blackwood as he is jolted into an other worldly adventure where truth and fantasy collide. To overcome the unforeseen enemies that plague him at every turn, Fleet must draw from the teachings of his past, forced to understand not only their true meanings, but also himself. A fantastic journey unfolds that questions the very fabric of this reality and what he is truly fighting for.

Casting an arthouse dark fantasy comedy in the vein of "Monty Python's Holy Grail." All of the costumes are handmade/hand-assembled, and almost every character is in a mask or helmet.

The entire film is being made in nature, with a small and dedicated team who has experience in video production. The film is in progress and is being shot over the course of several years (since it takes time to custom make the costumes for each actor). We can show you footage of the film (after an NDA is signed) so that you understand what it is that we are creating.

The Plague Knight procrastinates on his main quest, slaying Methelusia the Crystal Dragon, all the while adventuring through a post-apocalyptic landscape encountering bizarre beings and situations.

This is an on-demand delivery service app that specializes in package returns, package deliveries, and prescription pickups. We are creating engaging social media content to showcase our app’s features, user benefits, and real-world use cases. These short videos will highlight the app’s convenience, affordability, and ease of use for customers.

The content will consist of multiple short video scenarios, including: • A customer effortlessly returning a package • A driver discussing the flexibility and benefits of working • A pharmacy pickup experience showcasing how the app simplifies daily tasks. The tone of the videos will be fun, relatable, and professional, tailored for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Healers: Can speed up the healing process but your body will still heal the same it would naturally. You will still scar or walk with a limp there will still be long term damage you will just be in less pain depending on the injury

Makers: Makers are the most powerful of the gifted due to being able to temporarily create anything they can imagine

Controllers: Can release a powerful pheromone that makes the target under the users complete control

Growers: Controls the growth of plant life cannot be used as a weapon 

Fates: Can see potential futures

Trackers: Can track anyone or anything in the world, have perfect recall and are born geniuses 

The Immortals 

They made a deal with the an Old God to extend their life. When they kill someone they steal the years they have left. 

There are a few of these immortals who over the last couple hundred years have become disillusioned with exclusively killing black people. They now have a new mission to hunt and kill other Immortals. 

Thomas is the name of one such person he meets and becomes very good friends with James

In a world where the descendants of enslaved individuals possess extraordinary abilities, a group of super-powered individuals rise up to challenge the remnants of systemic oppression and forge a new path towards liberation and justice.

The Given has a unique pheromone they produce. The few that don’t know what they are still become drawn by others like them

James is biracial and his father is one of the Collective. He has been working as a double agent for years in order to protect his son. 

The Reapers is a group of slavers who have been alive since the beginning of the Atlantic Slavs trade. They were cursed by the god Anansi for taking his people. Cursed to Walk the Earth Until his people were truly free in this new land. But Alas Anansi was a trickster after all and he knew that was unlikely to ever be the case where there is hate there will always be hate. In the time since the curse the Reapers have become religious Zealots who believe that Anansi was actually the devil and he cursed them to live until they eradicated every one of the abominations that were created. The power they have is power no one should have.  They believe they are on a mission from God to fix the mistake he made when creating them.

The Taken: A group of Elders that are as old as The Reapers who were given everlasting life until this Reapers are no more guide each new Generation of The Given how to use their powers and how to keep them hidden. 

James (James Jr the main character) his mother was a healer and he was born a Maker. But with his father being a Reaper whenever one of the Given is killed or dies he gets their power. This is because 400 years ago James’s 8x great grandmother was the one who petitioned Anansi to help and although it was against the rules for him to free them completely because it would conflict with free will he was able to curse the people who did this and give a small amount of his power to all of decent of those who were Taken. When James was born a testament to the changes of the modern world Anansi has given him the ability to get the powers of all who died after his birth. Fully and officially relinquishing that sliver of his power forever. Or until James dies. But due to James being the son of a healer and functionally immortal he has to petition the god Anansi to remove his powers and die of when he decides to.

Because first law of thermodynamics, states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can be transformed from one form to another. The energy in the universe remains constant, even as energy changes form. 

Diana has a scar on her face from Thomas back when he was captain of the Aurore the ship that brought the first slaves to Louisiana.

James Sr is looking for scroll that will summon Nyame Anansi’s father in order to end the curse and by ending the curse all who have Anansi’s power running through their veins will die. It is unknown if James Sr has switched sides.

In the future Thomas will and Diana will become very close. They will not get together because although it was a long time ago he was her abuser and I won’t promote that. She will become more like an adopted sister than anything.

James and Amya meet in episode 2

Amya is a Healer and a grower her major is Biochemistry with her powers she can make medications that heal certain conditions/ diseases 

The reason why Nyame would wipe out all those with the abilities that Anansi gave him is due to four centuries of interbreeding with each other some have two or three powers.  Now even though they have more than one power at least one or two are diluted quite a bit. 

The man who helped raise James jr was secretly Anansi no one not even James’s mom knows this. James finds out when he meets Anansi at a bar. 

There will be no actual showing of the abuse inflicted on Diana by Thomas and there will be no sexual assault. There is no need to show this.

Anansi will play a bigger role in later seasons but in the first season he will just be a looming shadow.

He will definitely watch over his adoptive son closely.
