Project: Art of Murder

A stage play performed by volunteer actors at a community theatre in Citrus Heights CA.

In a remote estate in the countryside of Connecticut, Jack Brooks, one of the most accomplished and eccentric painters of his generation, awaits the imminent arrival of his art dealer. But the visit is not a standard one, for Jack feels wronged, and he is intending to kill the man. As Jack lays out his intentions for the evening, his wife, Annie, calmly paints. She is reluctant to go along with the plan, until Jack’s threat of violence convinces her otherwise. Harried and annoyed, Vincent, Jack’s flamboyant art dealer, arrives. Will Jack carry out his plan? Will Annie help him? Or is something else going on?

Project: A Ghost

A Ghost is a poetry film, there is no dialogue and the story is told through the Voice Over of the main character which is a poem being read from the point of view of what is she feeling and thinking. The visuals of the film will be artistic interpretations of what is being said. We are looking to film in September/October over the course of ideally three weekends-ish or less but will be working around everyone's schedules.

There will be limited crew and cast as we want to keep it small. The cast and crew will be local Sacramento filmmakers and I am happy to provide examples of work so you can know what kind of reel footage you will be getting.

This project is unpaid but you will get reel footage, IMDb credit, meals, stills, parking covered, etc. We will be casting from reels, footage, and clips rather than doing a standard audition format since this film is a little more experimental and we don't think an audition would be useful for either party in this context.

The story is about a woman missing her ex-partner and imagining that she is haunting her life. Here is a portion of the original poem:

Are you a ghost
to me?
Will I see you again?
Or are you cursed
am I?
to hear you
see you
everywhere

and no where.

Are you the vibration in my phone?
Are you the door squeaking open?
The red car driving by.
The woman in front of me
in line
at the grocery store
the book store
the movie theatre

is that you?
It looks like your sweater.

Is that the back of your head?
Or has the back of your head
just infected the whole population?
Have you become everyone?
Have you cloned yourself
to haunt me?"

I am happy to answer any questions or clarify anything if you would like more information - please just ask the questions in your notes section when you submit with your email and I will get back to you right away! I hope we get to work together, I am passionate about creating more work in Sacramento and building a bigger community of filmmakers here since I know there are so many talented people here. Thanks :)

Project: 30 Second Spot - Spec Ad

Our objective is to create a short commercial aimed to be pitched to a company in order to collaborate with them in the future. This will be a short, fun shoot with one main lead, a few secondary characters, and several extras.

The lead in this commercial needs to have some moves! Dance moves. The basic plot is the main character (Casey) takes a sip of a "featured drink". It tastes so good, Casey can't help from dancing. Casey feels embarrassed after looking around and sees everyone staring. Casey runs off but the crowd follows. From there, Casey attempts to dance alone in the garage, but the crowd has followed and tracks down the garage and joins Casey with a dance party with everyone drinking the featured drink.

Project: Bus Stop

We are staging a production of Bus Stop in Auburn, CA during Sept and Oct. Rehearsal starts in the second week of Aug and will be held 4 days per week, Mon - Thur.

In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a cheerful roadside diner. All roads are blocked, and four or five weary travelers are going to have to hole up until morning. Cherie, a nightclub chanteuse in a sparkling gown and a seedy fur-trimmed jacket, is the passenger with most to worry about. She’s been pursued, made love to and finally kidnapped by a twenty-one-year-old cowboy with a ranch of his own and the romantic methods of an unusually headstrong bull. The belligerent cowhand is right behind her, ready to sling her over his shoulder and carry her, alive and kicking, all the way to Montana. Even as she’s ducking out from under his clumsy but confident embraces, and screeching at him fiercely to shut him up, she pauses to furrow her forehead and muse, “Somehow deep inside of me I got a funny feeling I’m gonna end up in Montana …” As a counterpoint to the main romance, the proprietor of the cafe and the bus driver at last find time to develop a friendship of their own; a middle-age scholar comes to terms with himself; and a young girl who works in the cafe also gets her first taste of romance.

Project: A Tale Of Two Cities (Musical) - Lancaster, PA

Casting roles for "A Tale of Two Cities"

Two men in love with the same woman. Two cities swept up in revolution. One last chance for a man to redeem his wasted life and change the world. Based on Charles Dickens’ masterpiece, A Tale of Two Cities is a musical that focuses on the love triangle between young beauty Lucie Manette, French aristocrat Charles Darnay and drunken English cynic Sydney Carton – all caught in the clutches of the bloody French Revolution. Appropriate for all ages and audiences, this classic story of love, revolution and redemption is what the Associated Press called “the return to the era of big blockbusters such as Les Misérables, Phantom and Miss Saigon.”

Project: Intoxicated: The Scarecrow [DC Student Film By Sukai Todd]

An extremely short fanfilm examining how Dr. Crane (The Scarecrow from The Dark Knight Trilogy) is with his favorite patient Sukai Todd (Sailor Moon, Skye Tsukino, Original Character/OC) and eventual lover. Sukai admires him and the archetype of the Scarecrow. The short film involves an on-screen make-out session between Sukai and Crane, during one of Dr. Crane's mental fantasies. This is not for the fearful or fainthearted.

A sample of a much larger student film about the Scarecrow/Dr. Crane and how he handles falling for a lovable patient Sukai Todd; during many sessions in his main office in Arkhma Asylum. It is only a sample but it's enough to be addictive.

Project: YouTube channel

Hey guys so After a few months/years of Co-vid me and my team members on my YT channel have decided to revive our channel and begin productions as usual, our filmmakers/ acting team are looking for actors between 15-37 of all genders to play a variety of roles. Roles of sitcoms/ series created by our channel. We are in Sacramento. This is a good opportunity to work with my second family and be a part of a small team like mines. All actors in this team are permanent which means once you’re in, you’re in. You’ll be reused on any production we make. We’re a team for a reason. Our team is very open with people as long as you come with a good attitude.

Note*unfortunately, we don’t pay anyone

My film group has been around since 2017. We went on hiatus in 2020 due to covid but we are back now with a new system of leadership! Our acting group started off with me, my brother, and my best friend. Now we have 6 members in our group(only 4 are most active with one actor that does tech). My best friend is no longer with us and my brother now plays as a consultant for us.  We are hoping we can assemble a United team to hope one day we can be something!

-sincerely
