LITTLE WOMEN "THE MUSICAL"
Based on the beautiful novel by Louisa May Alcott, Little Women tells the story of the four March Girls, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, as they grow to adulthood in Civil War era New England. The girls endure hardships and privations, and eventually even a tragic loss, but their courage, their love for each other, and the strength of their family bond never fade. This adaptation stays very close to the original text and is especially popular with those who truly love the book. The musical version includes heart wrenching and moving ballads to sword fighting showstoppers that will move everyone to both laughter and tears. Our goal with telling this story is to have an afternoon or evening with sensible Meg, headstrong and passionate Jo, quiet Beth, lively Amy, loving Marmee and opinionated Aunt March. Of course, we will also introduce, young and romantic, Laurie, posed and proper Professor Bhaer and quiet Mr. Brooks, to name a few, as they tell a wonderful and moving theatrical story for the whole family.

Project: Pilgrim Torch
This is a ten minute torch (promotional film) being filmed for the five part mini-series "The Pilgrims".
Long before our nation fought for independence, a small group of settlers sought to carve out their own freedom and independence. They became known in history as “The Pilgrims”. This series follows the Pilgrims from what motivated them to come to the new world through to seeing them establish and found a thriving society. From their first encounters with Native Americans, to the first Thanksgiving, to seeing the need to change the whole structure of their economy. It dives into who they were as people, as families and as devout Christians all while staying true to the actual history as recorded by them. They were faced with many challenges but it can clearly be seen that Gods hand of providence was guiding them all along the way.

Project: Christian Sitcom
We are producing a Christian Sitcom --filming episodes 2-4 beginning July 28 in Cleveland, and September 3rd in Ft. Lauderdale and are looking for actors/extras for one-time and ongoing episodes.
A Quality Christian Sitcom?
Mocking God and His principles is the norm in every single sitcom. With your help, that's about to change.
The author of a book which hit #2 on the Christian "Relationship" chart has written this sitcom to counter the culture while making people laugh. Like the book, the fun, upbeat sitcom will take viewers on a roller coaster ride from "Mr. Right Now" all the way to "Mr. Right," without losing heart and without losing faith.
Author of six books is best known as the architect of the pro-life Heartbeat Bill (to protect every child whose heartbeat can be detected) which is now law in 14 states (and counting). She is not satisfied with the status quo and is known for changing it.
WHY? Reaching the Lost & Discipling Nations. While most non-Christians aren't drawn to sermons, everyone wants to laugh. The sitcom "What's a Girl to Do?" will make people laugh while putting God and His truths in a positive light--finally.
Be a Pioneer & Help Pave the Way! Your talent can help produce the first quality Christian Sitcom of its kind. It features Robert Davi (The Goonies, Die Hard, The Expendables 3), Rusty Joiner (Dodgeball, Melrose Place, Voiceless), Chris Routhe (Chicago Fire, Empire, Chicago PD.), Matthew Moore (Homeless for the Holidays), George Kokkoris (Android Cop, Burn Notice), and many other accomplished actors.
There are lots of good Christian movies, but there are NO Christian sitcoms from which to choose. Let's change that. Instead of entertainment with the indoctrination of a godless worldview, let's create a quality sitcom that honors God and advances His Kingdom...while having fun.

Project: Interlude Shoots & Vital Pick-Ups to Wrap Photography
The journeys we take are the journeys we make.
The film is a 100% independent, full-length feature film that has been diligently shot entirely in the Sacramento and Bay Areas. In fact, the story actually takes place in Sacramento, making it a true Northern California film that we hope you can rally behind. For all you Bay area folks, many people involved in the film also hail from the Bay, with the producer / director himself having relocated to San Francisco during the long production process to be nearer to his now wife. We need your support friends. And you can have confidence that your support is truly going towards your local filmmaking communities.
Just some of our community members having a blast.
Although the project is a micro-budget production, it is a rather large scale project, having gained faithful cast, crew, contributors and support parties of more than 500 awesome people to date. There have been over 50 locations as well, ranging from beautiful wilderness, to the past longtime home of the champion Warriors. When considering the ambitious nature of the project, we've been quite fortunate throughout our very long journey to get this film where it is today. Let's just chalk it up to a whole lot of stubborn minds, hard work, friendly faces, plain old luck and nimble adaptation to some fairly nightmarish situations. Ahhhh, filmmaking!!!
Adventure in the wild!
Everyone likes to believe their production is something new and appealing. We, the one studios crew, aren't any different in that sense. The project is an adventure; a fun-filled action-fantasy film containing not only aspiring sequences of "in-your-face" stylized action, but positive messages worthy of thought as well. We care about an engaging and entertaining story first and foremost. And there are many colorful characters that help develop the unique story the movie presents. It's overall tone is gritty with a light-hearted touch, never taking itself too seriously. This Yin and Yang can be felt during the dramatic, comedic and suspenseful elements guiding the film throughout its often fast-paced, yet, philosophical narrative.
The project has happened because of the community that supports it, believing in it from day one. We've had our bumps and bruises but have remained diligent and focused, no matter the obstacles, much like the film's lead character. Nothing worth anything comes easy. We believe this and have instilled this mindset as we have carried on. You will find nothing but transparency from us, regardless of the outcome being, or not being, beneficial to the project. Honesty, respect and your time are very important to us.
Okay, okay. So how far along are you guys really?
At the present, the film's original principal photography has long been completed. We have been in post for quite a while now, having chipped away at the first cut during our extended production run, as well as during the long production slowdown of the ongoing pandemic. During our initial editing after our original principal photography we found several pickup shoots and new additions were needed to better support and push the story. The majority of those shoots have been successfully achieved over the last (whoa) five years, having overcome some tough challenges along the way....hence, the five years.....Don't get us started.
We totally understand the red flags that might pop up when it's heard or read how long this project has been going on. Yes, it's been a very long production. We fully admit too long. But please try to understand that hasn't been by pure choice. There are a ton of factors at hand, financially, schedule wise, resource wise, and, well, just plain life wise. Many may see such factors as excuses. Ouch! We can't argue with people for that given the extreme timeline of this project. But we also aren't going to attempt to defend ourselves because, well, it's pointless.
Rather than try to explain the ups and downs, reasons and hurdles, which likely would just bore people to death, all we'll say is it's been tough and leave it at that. Hopefully, you don't judge us too harshly and can see the positives within us finishing this project far outweigh any negatives associated with how long it's taken. Film making isn't exactly easy, especially when it entails an ambitious project like this.
We've had some long days. But worth every moment.
Why didn't we finish in 2019???
July of 2019 saw us finally executing our long planned "ring shoots," which consisted primarily of capturing highly vital footage of a very important section of the film taking place at a major event within the film's story line. These shoots were quite the challenge for our small, but fearsome crew, with the set being the largest to date that we've built, consisting of more than 250 feet of 25' high green screen and a full boxing ring layout that included a full crowd's worth of seating.
Our set for the 2019 "Ring Shoots"
Murphy's Law definitely hit us hard. Valuable lessons were learned. But we pushed through and after a solid week of shooting we managed to successfully capture the majority of what was required. Unfortunately, capturing the majority of what was required isn't going to cut it. We have to finish.
After a much needed recovery period we set out to organize one final group of shoots to accomplish what we missed. Then, just like those of so many other filmmakers, our plans were thrown out the window once the quarantine mandates were activated. The positive is this gave us more time to prepare. And prepared we now are!
Some of our principle cast going over lines with director/producer
Aside from the "pickup ring shoots" that we are currently organizing for mid-December 2020, which will wrap the majority of the cast....hallelujah!.....we have several other small pickup shoots to complete for the main story line in the film...pretty minimal. However, our most demanding point of focus after we complete the "pickup ring shoots" will be what we call our "Interludes."
The "Interlude" story line is the final story line in the overall film to be finished. The "Interludes" are composed of characters not related to our long-engaged principal cast. They dive deep into action, adventure and fantasy, promising to be quite a step away from what many fans of this project might feel they understand is to be expected...Quick note...never think you know where this film goes, because you'll probably be wrong!...These segments tell a story within a story, of sorts, and represent the absolute last chance to be a part of this production, in terms of casting.
Cow Palace shoot, August of 2018.
Oh, Cecil. You SOB.
Speaking of casting, there are various supporting and principle roles to be filled, many with substantial lines, for the upcoming "Interlude" shoots, which are our main focal point for casting at this time. However, we are also casting for additional featured and background roles for our "pickup ring shoots."
So, please do not let the "Interludes" deter you from being a part of the fast approaching "pickup ring shoots!" We need all the people and support we can get for those. We can't even put into words how important it is these "pickup ring shoots" are successful. With last year's shoots coming up short, these pickups are vital to completing important story arcs. It was never the plan to have to do more for the sections of the film these pickups will be completing. Last year was supposed to be it. And man was it hard putting those shoots together! But we had our time to sulk, reevaluate and rebuild. Now it's time to take action!
Just a few of our awesome crew members from the 2019 "Ring Shoots"
The majority of last year's background and secondary cast have committed to returning for one last go, along with our steadfast principal cast, in order to finish out their much needed roles. This is paramount for continuity. But with everything going on we have to anticipate drop outs, unfortunately. This is why we're pushing to get more people locked in. We have to take precautions to ensure the shoots are successful. And even if everyone does show we still need more people to truly capture the essence of what the script calls for.
The "ring shoots" have required the most folks to date for very important crowd sequences in and around a boxing ring. We know such roles might not seem the most glamorous. But we can't overstate how important it is we get them cast with awesome, committed people that understand how vital they are in regards to completing this project. Without such roles covered, we'll be wasting the opportunities we've worked so hard to create in order to tell the story properly, staying true to what the script calls for and not selling it short. We got a large amount of these roles covered last year. But some still remain open. We had to work around that last year. It would be ideal to fill such roles so this time around doesn't require any workarounds.
Bottom line....if we don't have the numbers all the hard work put into the upcoming shoots will be for not. We absolutely need YOU!
Another shot from our Cow Palace shoot....awesome day.
For those of you looking to extend your involvement with the project, it would be good to note that many of the highlighted supporting roles and background roles will allow for multiple appearances as different people. In other words, we can use you more than once.....as long as we change you up accordingly, of course.
Don't mess with the Dark Oaks.
Not to over sell it, but playing such supporting and background roles is a great opportunity for those budding actors and actresses out there to gain experience on set, be seen and meet fellow film people. Such roles are great for supporters of the arts just wanting to be a part of a film too, such as you retirees, movie buffs and friends and family of actors. Even you more experienced folks will take value from what we have planned. Remember, there are no small parts, only small actors!
Build a network with stellar community members!
Our "pickup ring shoots", containing many background and highlighted supporting roles, will be completed the week of December 7th-13th. Please note only 1-2 dates within that week will actually be used for the pickups with all crowd and supporting cast present, although there may be another day or two for certain principle cast members. In order to drive participation and adhere to safety concerns, it's our goal to limit these pickups to as little time as necessary.
These shoots will be held at a huge and comfortable facility down the street from where our shoots were held last year...
We really need you for these shoots Sacramento, Bay Area and surrounding areas. Friends, no matter how much time you can give...it all counts! As always, it was quite difficult gaining the space. So, again, it's vital we get the numbers we need to cheat and sell the shots.
Oooooh!!! What a hit!
To the delight of many of you looking for, perhaps, a more demanding part, the "Interludes" contain several additional roles needing to be filled that possess not only ample lines, but major screen time. Some of these roles call for demanding physical prowess as well. So, all you martial artists, stunt people and athletes, come join the fight! Completing the "Interludes" represent the final push to complete photography, sure. But they're also really formative of F-U-N. We'll be traveling throughout California and possibly parts of Nevada to shoot them. Yep, we're going out with a bang!
Yowza! Action galore.
We can't promise that the movie will win an Oscar....haha. But we give you our word that it is a project that is getting completed and not another made up, "hopeful" project that crashes. We've had our fair share of fender benders, but we're ok. Hell, if we were going to quit we would have done it a long time ago....trust when we say that....considering we're seven years in and so very close to wrapping.
We got moves.
The project will be worth your time, no matter how much you put in. Although we remain realistic and humble, we're confident people are going to be surprised at what we've achieved when it's all said and done, no matter the opinions they may have on various aspects of the film. But know we totally get you have to pick your projects wisely, especially those that are more pro bono based. So, definitely, read up and ask us questions. Again, transparency is huge for us. We respect you, your efforts and your craft. Thank you for your time and support.
It's been an adventure, a carefully plotted adventure...with a whole lotta unplanned side missions. We hope you will finish it with us.
Join the fight!
You ready to rock?!
Temptations....
Fantastic threats behind every door!
Since being discovered as a troubled youth by his mentor, an odd former boxing prodigy, now recluse, named Ahiga, Fleet has slowly transformed himself to achieve greatness within the ropes. His longtime rival, and current champ, Hanson Hansome , now awaits him on the night of their highly anticipated match.
But this night will prove more a challenge than any mere battle in the ring, as Fleet is unexpectedly pushed into a flurry of peculiar obstacles by unforeseen, relentless enemies, each challenge calling for a unique key to victory. A fantastic journey unfolds that questions the very fabric of his reality, forcing Fleet to not simply draw from the teachings of his past for guidance, but to also truly understand them....and himself.
In order to make it to the most important match of his career, Fleet must now fight, realizing the truth behind his need to rise to victory, or fall. Will he rise?
