Project: Casting Nationwide- Real Family Members for Documentary Style Video Campaign

NationSwell, a leading social impact media company, in conjunction with a well known and well respected Nationwide Nonprofit have partnered together to create a video series about real family members, and life’s transitions.

Transition can happen at any life stage. In a single, multigenerational family, two family members might be experiencing the same big life moments at the same time! In this video series we will introduce audiences to pairs of family members who are doing just that: ie. A granddaughter and a grandmother who are both getting married/re-married. A father and his daughter launching a new business, a grandmother and grandson learning how to swim.

Shooting 3 different Videos - open to all gender pairings, age ranges, ethnicities, and life moments & events.

Project: HISTORY OF NOW

The stage production "History of Now" will premiere in 2020. The dynamic story will combine stage and screen including flashback scenes and archive film to maximise the potential and intensity of the piece. The production also offers an educational workshop and an outreach program.

The subtle yet powerful opening is engaging in its thoughtful approach to flicking the switch between darkness and light. Within this busy production, there are stories within stories. Dynamic stage sets and the combination of screen and stage add a powerful creative dimension. Yet throughout, it is the presence of Krystyna Haeutmann, the energetic young girl and the elderly reflective lady play perfectly, two leading characters of the same person playing opposite one another. It is both dynamic and a masterstroke that validates the story and believability of the character which is essential to the telling of this story.

Ms. Haeutmann, now eighty years of age, lives in the same house she moved into on her arrival in the United States in 1951 having spent six years in England, where she was unable to settle. A former teacher of literature, she lives a simple life alone but has never allowed herself to feel lonely. In her opinion; a form of self-pity, unbecoming to the memory and legacy of her younger life and brief forced existence. On reading an advertisement in a national newspaper for German-born survivors of the Holocaust to come forward to record their experiences for future generations and realizing her life is drawing to its natural close, she makes the decision to tell her story and reveal her hidden past. However, history shows a secret of its own.

"They were Jews they deserved to die" Haeutmann otherwise calm and calculated in her words burst forward, spinning the reporter round in her chair. "Is that how he still feels?" A rhetorical question which is not lost in the silence that pursues. Throughout the production, Alex Jayson's use of silence at times is deafening in its dramatic pause. This is illustrated perfectly in a segment of the play that appears during Act Two. Haeutmann's narrative becomes increasingly more poignant due to the past moments that again reflected darkness and light. Haeutmann’s mood change now shifts the dynamics of the production. The aged figure appears detached, as though removed from the present her every word, etched in pain, is a footstep taking her back until there is a sense of her presence on stage waiting. Her words stop. There is a still image, no movement until…The young Krystyna enters on stage. The symmetry between the young and old HAEUTMANN's synchronized movements are compelling. Although there is little happening, every single tranquil, undisturbed flick of the wrist becomes even more heightened. Jayson’s skillful writing and directing create a moment that is beautiful and touching. It is powerful in its simplicity. Harrowing in its execution. However witnessing silently as they become bound to each other at this moment, that is a methodical sweeping embrace across the years. A light within the shadow.

The play’s greatest strengths are that it has enough confidence in the audience’s intelligence to avoid spelling things out too explicitly. The relationship between the reporter and Haeutmann whose words drive the play forward with a delicate blend of intellectual and visceral overtures reflect her life and experience against the reporter’s innocence correctly. It is a smart blend that allows the writer to confront and challenge key issues that discharge the need to question their place in time.

It would be wrong to classify this as just one more Holocaust production. In fact, it is an intelligent and entertaining piece of work that engages on many levels that appeals to young and old across all groups. To witness the History of Now as anything less would be like receiving a gift that is so beautifully wrapped that we leave the real gift inside! To fully comprehend Alex Jayson's latest work we must carefully remove the outer packaging to find the right "PRESENT"

Project: The 5th Step

Logline: A young self centered bachelor, who's only care is money and getting laid, is met with an unusual existential crisis and is forced to manage his new reality.

A young wealthy businessman meets a group of friends at a nightclub, proceeding to drink heavily and hit on attractive young women. Having had way too much to drink, Sebastian walks home.

He is kidnapped by masked men who place a ‘thing’ on his chest, and dump him on the street. The following day Sebastian wakes to realize he didn’t dream it all, he really does have this ‘thing’ on his chest. When Jacob mentions it, Sebastian ignores him and runs off.

Try as he might, Sebastian cannot remove the ‘thing’ from his body. The hospital refuses to help him, so he goes to Victor the Mechanic to have it removed. He too refuses to help Sebastian. The numbers on the ‘thing’ keep ticking down, and the man falls into a deep depression.

It isn’t until several months later that Carlita shows up to his apartment that Sebastian begins to realize that this ‘thing’ is normal, lots of people have them. There’s nothing to be frightened about. As the numbers slowly tick down to ‘zero’, Sebastian has entered the fifth and final step, ‘Acceptance.’ He now holds his his newborn sun in his arms; happy.

Project: National TV Commercials / Dating & Chat 800# services & websites

Our agency M.M.A. Las Vegas is always looking for talent to work with in our clients' national TV commercials which air year-round on networks like MTV. Comedy, Paramount, MTV2, VH-1, and many others.  Our talent needs are mostly females 21-35, all nationalities, and preferably able to deliver ad copy reliably and without any heavy accents. Acting experience is definitely a plus for us.  Pay is D.O.E. on the day of the shoots and usually non-union (ie - no residuals).  If you're interested in more information, send us a DM and we'll fill you in. Thanks.
